“You can only get high 0ff the dried leaves of the female plant”

Sort of true, but mostly untrue.

It's the FL0WERS of the female plant that get you the highest. (Also known as the “buds”).

The leaves themselves contain very little THC, and are almost useless for medical purposes or recreation.

I am a Vietnam vet and I was introduced to maryjane while touring that wonderful country. I fell in love with her and brought her home with me. Any combat soldier will tell you what a reality shift it is to be jerked from the world of combat and dropped back into society, in my case, all within one week. Vietnam vets had no backup system to ease our return to the real world. I had mj! She was there when my raging head needed calming. She was there and understood when I needed to be alone. And when I was ready to step back into society she was there to help me laugh and forget. She helped me sleep at night when I could not shut off my thoughts. Without mj in my life I doubt that I would have re-entered the real world and adjusted so easily. For over 40 years I have kept her by my side and I have had a wonderful life, family and job.

#9 is incorrect. In Australia, you still get fines and jail time for possesion of Marijuana. However, the police have a general “don't bother” policy for small quantities – but if caught with a larger quantity, it's free room and board provided by the government.

Hate to nitpick on an otherwise brilliant info graphic but marijuana is very much criminalized in Finland and the vast majority of Finnish people are against weed. So tourists keep those joints hidden unless you want to spend the night in jail!

Anyone that knows the difference between the varrying hemp plants will tell you that 5, 6 and part of 8 shouldn't even be in an article about marijuana considering they are two different types, C. sativa subsp. indica generally has poor fibre quality, Cannabis sativa L. subsp. sativa var. sativa is the variety grown for industrial use -which is why hemp was important-. Not marijuana. I doubt anyone back then were dumb anough to smoke what they used for textile fibers and if you did, the best you would get is a bunch of coughing and hacking. Junior marijuan advocates like to toss hemp history around like it means anything. If you have a problem with the fact that the US doesn't recognize the differnce still, you can blame the paper company for funding so many anti-cannibis articles and replying on the masses not being able to identify the defferent ones. Which sadly persists even to the marijuana advocates who supposedly think they know it all and the man is just harshing their mallow.

I find articles like this contain just as much false or shallow understood “facts” propaganda as the antithesis for it, which only makes the argument weaker, sadly.

  8. Yashendwirh

Yeah, apparently this article also skipped over the fact that it's also not decriminalized in Australia either. Or the fact that 5, 6 and part of 8 have nothing to do with marijuana, but hemp, which was a type of canni plant that produce -only- for textile use.

  9. Yashendwirh

Except some of these *facts* aren't really facts, such as it is NOT decriminalized in Finland or Australia and the fact that 5, 6 and 8 don't have any place in an article about marijuana considering there's a differnce between hemp, which was only used for textile production, and marijuana, which makes shit quality fibers.

    MMM,
There are a lot of cannabis addicts. It isn’t an innocent little drug as some people want you to believe.
I have been in a detox program and about half of the people there had problems with cannabis.
It can make people very passive and they needed cannabis to fall asleep.
Like alcohol cannabis is not innocent. It’s different but can be addictve as well. Maybe because a lot of people kept on spreading the evangelism of cannabis being innocent and almost healthy for you.
