The Palm Islands are artificial islands in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on which major commercial and residential infrastructure will be constructed. The islands are the Palm Jumeirah, the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira.

      um, no. I noticed that the image date on top of one of the buildings says 2006 though. Were you thinking of the ventilation fans?

    The guitar shaped mansion is right by my house. Used to be owned by a guy named Larry House, one of the founders of Health South. 55,000 sq ft. house. Used to be one of the largest in the country.

    the 666 isn’t actually there. its a trick of the eye and if you look close its more like 888. They are vents on the top of the building.

    Interesting photos, but a bit of background on some of them would not have been too much to ask for… particularly the historic sites.

    According to wikipedia and every other web source I saw other than the flickr page you got the photo from says that the Osmington White Horse was carved in 1808 and is of King George III.
