I'm a great fan of the Full English Breakfast, Sausage, Egg, Bacon, Black pudding, beans, mushrooms, fried bread and Hash browns (ok nearly fully English) followed by toast and marmalade with a steaming mug of tea.

This is ok at breakfast as you have the whole day to work it off, not ok if you repeat at lunch and dinner.

The advice I've been given is big brekky, snack lunch and light dinner, decrease your intake through the day as there is less time to digest and metabolise it as the day progresses before you creash into your pit at the end of the day.

I don't drink tea (proper English stuff) after 5pm as it keeps me awake at night

I'm also a fan of taking a long bike ride before breakfast on an empty stomach. As you start doing this, you feel a bit queasy but after doing it a few times, your body will work out where to get energy from and you'll start losing weight quite fast.

Now, where's that big gooey cream cake I had....
