Trees can live without man but man cannot survive without trees. Men can be kind or cruel to trees but trees are always ready to serve mankind.
They provide material for food, housing, furniture, tools, vehicles, fuel, paper, board, shade, bridges and a continuous supply of leaves to rot and enrich the soil.
The cylindrical tree trunk and the spherical fruits taught man the all important lesson of the wheel. Citrus fruits the lesson of thermal insulation.

They purify our air, drain our swamps and give us beauty upon which to feast our eyes, 'but only God can make a tree.'
